On The Other Hand
On Friday, Miss Mussel wrote on the relationship between humour and criticism, taking great care to disparage academic hubris, or, to use the vernacular “having [one's] head up [one's own] ass.”
After some late night YouTube trawling, it appears that there is a fault in her argument. As Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie clearly demonstrate, hubris and humour are not, as previous asserted, mutually exclusive.
