One for the Christmas List

An article in yesterday’s New York Review of Books discusses a new book on Mozart with such enthusiasm that it is now occupying that most sacred of places: the “may possibly receive” portion of the Christmas suggestion list. Lists from childhood were ordered from realistic to fantastical and almost always included a helicopter or swimming pool.
