Qu’est-ce que c’est? #4

For this quiz installment, Miss Mussel has decided to wade into the string repertoire.

Have a listen
and puzzle it out in the comments.

Clues will be given each day until the correct answer, consisting of the composer, work and date of composition, is sent along.

Good luck all and as always, don’t forget to tell a friend.

  1. Uhm… uhm… reminds me of something by… uhm… Benjamin Britten? I’d be pretty sure about that, but then again the title of this post is in French, and Britten was British… uhm… must think about it…

  2. Oh, right, I just realised that the previous quiz was titled “Qu’est-ce que c’est?”, too, so maybe the question’s language has nothing to do with the composer’s nationality… then I guess it actually can be Britten, only I’m not at home, so I can’t really check… :-/
