Quiz #4 Second Clue
No one has written in with the answer as of yet, an OM quiz record so far. Perhaps yesterday’s clues were a bit vague.
Let’s narrow it down a little:
1) The opus number is a not a prime number, nor is it even.
2) The composition was written in either 1964, 1967 or 1971 making the Presidents either Lyndon Johnson or Richard Nixon.
3) The piece is dedicated to this guy.

Have another listen and get those thinking caps on!

Well, if he’s Rostropovich (and I’m pretty sure about it), these songs are the Cello Suites by Benjamin Britten (op. 72, 80, e 87) written respectively in 1964, 1967 and 1971… and dedicated in facts to Rostropovich.
Then I guess I was right thinking of Britten!!!
Let me see… Cello Suite n.3 by Benjamin Britten op. 87, composed in 1971 and dedicated to his friend Mstislav Rostropovich, right?
I won! I won! I won, again! I’m so smug even I can’t stand myself anymore!!! :D
this guy is so weird
