Friday Swag
Hello all and welcome to the inaugural edition of Friday Swag!
Here’s how it’s going down:
Be the FIFTH PERSON to write in with the answer to the question and the swag is yours. Simple as that.

I Furiosi’s new disc Crazy. A full review of this is forthcoming on this site but the short version is: they’re great. It’s imaginative programming and brilliant period playing without the period affectation. Also, they wear leather at concerts.
Composers on this disc include: Handel, Godfrey Finger, Alessandro Stradella, Thomas Augustine Arne, Dario Castello, Johnathan Eccles, Francesco Maria Veracini, Vivaldi, Marco Uccellini, Tobias Hume, Andrea Falconieri, John Blow and Leonard Cohen.
The question is:
The Baroque period in music is generally understood to cover which dates?
- (a) 1550-1625
- (b) 1600-1750
- (c) 1600-1800
- (d) 1700-1800
Send your answer to omniscient.mussel@gmail.com. Please put FRIDAY SWAG in the subject line.
UPDATE: To all those that have tried to reply via an @theomniscientmussel.com address. There’s been a bit of a meltdown and they aren’t working at the moment. Please try again via the above address. Thanks!
On this day..
