Looking for just the right hoop skirt to complete your wardrobe? What about a killer wig guaranteed to get you voted best costume at your next Hallowe’en party? Maybe your regional theatre could use some new props.
Whatever your reasons, this Saturday the Canadian Opera Company will be opening the doors to its costume department and selling off items that are no longer used.

Period-inspired dresses from La Traviata [pictured] and high-priestess robes from “Norma” are among the costume items that will be available.
Shoppers can also snag props, such as a fishing rod, fish bowls and a bow and arrow set from Rusalka.
The sale runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday
at the Imperial Oil Opera Theatre in Toronto with all proceeds going to the COC’s production department.
Word on the street is that these things are very well attended, so if you want the best choice of viking helmets, arrive early.
