I'm a fan of Rufus' pop music but was very cautiously optimistic - reading interviews last week I was worried that it would be much more overblown and quotational than it actually was. Rebecca Bottone was fantastic. I felt the audience was probably about half-and-half in terms of Rufus fans and opera buffs (and a few of us overlap). I saw Prima Donna on Sunday night and really enjoyed it.
