- A small win for pit musicians everywhere – a Manchester man has sued and won under the Trade Descriptions Act [roughly equivalent to false advertising] because the musical he attended featured taped music rather than live musicians. Richard Morrison says: Good on him.
- The National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa has put 150 archival recordings online as part of their ArtsAlive.ca educational site. ArtsAlive is aimed at Canadian school teachers but is an excellent resource for those teaching music worldwide.
