Introducing Your #Operaplot 2011 Judge: Eric Owens

Miss Mussel is delighted to announce that in between appearances at the Met and Carnegie Hall, American bass-baritone Eric Owens will be judging the #Operaplot 2011 contest.

Woot. (do people still say that these days?)

Owens was part of the Le Grand Macabre happening at the New York Phil last year, stole the show as Alberich in the autumn Das Rheingold at The Met and will be popping up in opera houses and on concert stages around the country over the next few months.

Haven’t had a chance to hear Eric yet? Alex Ross has got you covered.

Miss Mussel hopes to have the rules posted tomorrow, so stay tuned.

The contest is happening between 11th and 15th April .
