Central City Opera in Colorado is offering two tickets to a performance of the North American premiere of Handel’s Amadigi di Gaula. Winners may choose from performances on July 7, 15, 29; August 2 or 4.

Madison Opera would like to offer a pair of tickets to any production from the upcoming 2011-2012 season (to be announced April 18th). Come to Wisconsin for the beer and cheese; stay for the opera!

The Metropolitan Opera in New York (obvs) is pleased to offer a pair of tickets to Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice starring David Daniels and Kate Royal on 14th May, the last night of the 2010/11 season.

Bonus: It’s the Mark Morris production from 2007, so in addition to mad Baroque vocal stylings and a killer orchestra, there will be dancers.

First-time Operaplotters Nashville Opera would like to add a pair of tickets to any 2011/2012 season performance. Choice of La Traviata, Pagliacci and Girl of the Golden West

#Operaplot is branching out to the concert stage for the first time with this great prize offer from the New York Philharmonic. Winners can choose either a pair of top tickets to see the in-concert performance of The Cunning Little Vixen from June 22nd-25th or a pair to hear Deborah Voigt in recital from June 9th – 11th.


Portland Opera would like to offer a pair of center orchestra seats for the opening night performance of Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, November 4th.

Buxton is a small former spa town in the North West of England. They also happen to have a cracking arts festival each summer. Buxton Festival would like to offer a pair of tickets to their production of Mark Anthony Turnage’s opera Greek on either 14th July or 25th July.


English National Opera would like to add a box for 4 for the world premiere of Nico Muhly’s opera Two Boys at the Colosseum in London. Dates TBD but the show is on at the end of June.

English opera house Glyndebourne is delighted to offer a pair of tickets to their performance of Benjamin Britten’s The Turn of the Screw on Tuesday 23rd August. In addition to great opera, there are also sheep and an enormous dinner interval perfect for a picnic on the lawn.

Manchester International Festival is an biannual festival of new commissions across all arts genres.

MIF would like to offer the winner one pair of tickets to Doctor Dee (2, 3, 5, 6, 7 or 8 July), a new work by Damon Albarn and Rufus Norris AND one pair for Die Walkure / The Madness of an Extraordinary Plan.

      Ah, this was published by accident. It’s just the frame of the page – I haven’t added the prizes in yet. Hope to sort that out for tomorrow. Rest assured….there are prizes!
