It’s Olympic day! The bells are ringing, people are happy and it just started raining for the first time in a week. There was a lot of bell ringing this morning at 8:12 for Martin Creed’s “Piece 1197: All the Bells.” In 33 minutes, the biggest ringing bell in Europe will signal the start of the Opening Ceremonies. Tomorrow, St Paul’s and Southwark Cathedrals and Westminster Abbey will ring peals that last in excess of 4 hours to celebrate the Games.
